BuddhistpracticeisaccompaniedbyaseriesofMahaincrediblephenomena,suchasincorruptiblebody,rainbowbody,holyrelicsandsoon,theyarenaturalphenomenaorsupernaturalphenomena?TherearenorelevantexplanationsaccordingtotheBuddhistresearchessofar.
Let’stakerainbowbodyasanexample,whenthepracticerenteredintonirvana,hisbodyevaporatedintolights,heatandaroma.Itisindeedincredible.Holyrelicscanbeunderstoodastheoutcomesofthecriticalstatebetweenthematerialstateandspiritualstateofhumanbody.
Whataremahaincrediblephenomena?Fromtheoutlookofholo-philosophicalscience,itseemseasytounderstand.Sincemodernscienceisbiasedandlacksstudyonspiritualfactors,sobiasedtheoriescannotexplaintheabovemahaincrediblephenomena.Buddhismcanentirelycoverthemodernholo-philosophyandholo-sciencesystem;allproblemscanbesolvednaturallywiththeserecognitions.Samemethodcannotbeappliedinthestudyofspirit.Positivisticapproachcanonlyapplytomaterialstudy;spiritualstudymustrelyonour"heart".
Mahaincrediblephenomenaarealsocalledassupernaturalphenomena,whichindicatethingsorphenomenathattranscendtheexistentknowledgeofhumankind,orcannotbeexplainedbytheoriesofmodernscienceandphilosophy,suchas“incorruptiblebody”,“sariras”,“divinepowers”,“theSamadhiofLight”,“cosmictunnel”,“spontaneoushumancombustion“,etc.
Itisimpossibletoadoptthesamemethodintheresearchesofbothmaterialandspirit.Thepositivistmethodcanonlybeappliedtomaterialresearch;spiritualresearchmustbebasedonour“mind”.
Herewewillnotexpoundsupernaturalphenomena,theaboveanalysis,assumptionsandexamples,aresufficienttoillustratethelimitationofmodernscienceandphilosophyaswellastheimportanceofintroducingspiritualconcept.
Thesephenomenacannotbeexplainedbyimperfectmodernscienceandphilosophyandarebynomeanssupernatural.Thereasonwhymodernscienceandphilosophyarenotcompleteliesintheirignoranceofspiritandpartialemphasisonmaterial.Materialandspiritexistinarelativeunity,theyrelyoneachotherandinfluenteachotherandtheycanalsochangeintoeachother.However,modernscienceandphilosophyemphasizepositiveresearchofmatters,andtotallyneglecttheimpactsandeffectsofspiritualfactors.
